Zoo Pack orthodontic elastics by Ormco: What They Are Zoo Pack is a branded line of surgical-latex orthodontic elastics designed for intraoral and sometimes extraoral use. They’re named after animals (e.g., Chipmunk, Fox, Monkey, Zebra) and come in a variety of diameters and tensile strengths . These elastics are typically used to apply corrective forces around braces or other orthodontic devices. Sizes range from 1/8″ (Chipmunk, ~3 mm) to 3/4″ (Ostrich, ~19 mm), and strengths run from light (2 oz/60 g) up to extra-heavy (6 oz/170 g and beyond) .

Key Features

Medical-grade surgical latex: offers consistent force and reliable elasticity .

Standardized tensile strength: Ormco rates the force based on extending the elastic three times its listed diameter, ensuring consistency for clinical use .

Packaging: Zoo Pack comes as small bags (typically 100 elastics) labeled by size and animal. Often sold in boxes containing 50 bags (5,000 pieces) or in dispensers holding multiple boxes .
